New York, NYThis is a key managerial role in the Commerce organization, reporting to the SVP of Commerce. This individual is responsible for developing the overarching commerce strategy for their portfolio of brands; driving performance to meet ambitious growth targets. The role will lead a dedicated team of Commerce Brand Leads, with an extensive cross-functional network including editorial, product, marketing and data analytics to deliver against revenue and profit objectives.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
Business owner for commerce revenue across a portfolio of brands
Develop commerce propositions that are differentiated within the market, and add value for the reader, our partners and the brand itself
Deliver growth targets through the implementation of a long-term strategic plans, as well as reacting to tactical opportunities and trade performance
Work with product and data analytics to develop critical reporting and proactively manage weekly trade
Oversee the content and content distribution strategy
Ensure all content and products featured reflect brand voice and standards
Deep understanding and implementation of SEO best practices
Collaborate to maximise all go-to market commerce activity including SEM, newsletter, social media, paid campaigns and events
Scope and develop product initiatives within the commerce toolkit framework
Work with Commerce Partnerships lead to develop brand relevant partnerships strategy, from pitch to delivery
Work cross-functionally to bring innovative partnership formats to market including affiliate, dropship and hybrid commercial opportunities
Build and maintain relationships with key merchant partners
Team leadership and career development of the content and production teams to develop a best-in-class multi-skilled commerce team that successfully blends creativity with business insights
Profit management including revenue and personnel costs
Other duties as assigned
Base Salary: $192,000 - $225,000
