The Associate, Energy Data & Analytics will be responsible forsupporting the Sustainability Team with the oversight of energy data management, and project monitoring. This position will be exposed to all facets of Sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the quality assurance and analysis of data relevant to periodic ESG reporting, identifying, and addressing data discrepancies to ensure the integrity of reporting efforts.

  • Drive development of data analytics methodologies geared towards the development of actionable insights and comprehensive visualization techniques to interpret sustainability key metrics, energy consumption, and other key performance indicators.

  • Oversee the data integration from public and private datasets onto Link's data platform while using data cleaning and transformation techniques to ensure that the data is clean and reliable. The intern will also help document the data integration process and ensure that the data is easily accessible by the team.

  • Implement scalable solutions for data management and acquisition from utilities, electricity meters and other sources. This will involve working with the Sustainability team to identify data sources, designing data management systems, and implementing tools and techniques for data acquisition and processing.

  • Develop workstreams related to data analytics related to energy and utilities, using advanced data science tools and techniques to gain insights into energy consumption patterns, power markets, and other key metrics. This will involve working with large datasets and implementing models to uncover trends and patterns in the data.

  • Design operational and financial reporting tools related to energy/sustainability for diverse leadership groups across the company, translating complex data into strategic insights that support business objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Built Environment, Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering or related field

  • Master's degree in Energy Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering or related field/CEM or P.E preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years' industry experience required in a corporate environment, real estate holding company, engineering firm, energy company/utility or major consulting company

  • Advanced coursework in renewables, clean energy technologies, energy markets, financial modeling

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel

  • Advanced programming proficiency (SQL, VBA, Python or R)

  • Analytics and dashboarding experience (PowerBI, Tableau, etc)

  • Experience with data science libraries (Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, Pandas)

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage and track large amounts of energy data, and to articulate a clear and meaningful message supported by this data

  • Passion for addressing sustainability, energy and renewables areas

  • Self-starter with the ability to meet or exceed deadlines, prioritize, multi-task, and maintain flexibility in fast-paced, changing environment

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills since interaction with senior level management will be required
