Anesthesiologist- NYU Langone Health - Long Island, New York

The Department of Anesthesiology at NYU Langone Health-Long Island is looking for a detail-oriented full time anesthesiologist to be responsible for the care and comfort of our patients in the perioperative period. The anesthesiologist is responsible for monitoring patient health through the administration of anesthesia and other medication.

Anesthesiologist Requirements:

* A degree in medicine with a 4-year residency in anesthesiology.

* Must be BE/BC

* A valid state license and malpractice insurance.

* Strong detail-oriented ability.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Ability to make quick decisions in a highly stressful environment.

Anesthesiologist Responsibilities:

* Pre-anesthesia assessment including assessing patients' conditions through analysis of medical history.

* Obtains and/or verifies patient consent and explains to patients the surgical process

* Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia

* Administers anesthesia and monitors patients' vital signs during medical and surgical procedures, and making appropriate adjustments in anesthesia to ensure patient comfort.

* Monitors patients' vital signs and pain management after surgical and medical procedures to ensure patient comfort.

Compensation: $500,000

The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
