OVERVIEW:

Beiersdorf Inc. is seeking a courageous individual who will challenge the status quo to guide us in achieving first class financial services, simplify our business processes, build trust with colleagues and partners, and show care to our customers and shoppers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all aspects of daily cash management for both Beiersdorf US and Canada; including daily banking and monthly foreign currency requirement assessment. Work as primary daily banking administrator and liaison with the company banking partner.
  • Track and analyze foreign currency transactions. Act as liaison with Corporate Treasury on all foreign currency matters.
  • Coordinate Federal/State Corporate income tax payments with external Accounting Firm
  • Prepare account analyses for and provide external Accounting Firm with information required to complete tax returns
  • Prepare State/Local Sales & Use/Gross Receipts tax returns and payments
  • Prepare Real Estate Tax filings for Connecticut (Stamford)
  • Oversee Federal/State/Local tax audits together with Sr. Manager Treasury.
  • Ensure any relevant abandoned property filings are recorded with states as needed.
  • Work with third party provided to manage tax exemption certificates
  • Control pension plan contributions and track disbursement accounts
  • Assist with pension plan audits including: support with preparation of financial statements for audit for three pension plans; provide data as required, interact with Plan actuaries and Trustees.
  • Ensure Certificates of Insurance are issued and in compliance
  • Prepare annual insurance policy renewal applications where necessary
  • Special projects as requested.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting preferred
  • Must be knowledgeable in accounting, financial systems and financial analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain the accuracy and integrity of data in complex Excel spreadsheets and other data formats and have strong analytical skills
  • Must be proficient with Excel and experience with SAP is preferred
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrate BDF core values of care, simplicity, courage and trust
