Overview:


The Corporate Development team operates a key role within the organization, working with the executive and extended leadership teams and across all regions, functions and brands to help ensure stakeholder
alignment with the broader company strategic and financial goals. This role will play an integral part in developing and implementing the corporate strategy, identifying growth opportunities including via acquisitive means, and driving significant transformational initiatives to help unlock maximum value for
the company. The Senior Director position will support the SVP, Corporate Strategy & Development with identifying new business opportunities and sourcing, qualifying, partnering and acquiring companies that fit and accelerate our strategic priorities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Help build Conde Nast's M&A deal pipeline and support the execution of corporate initiatives on behalf of the executive leadership team and Board of Directors
  • Develop deep domain knowledge of audience, market and competitive dynamics and trends to inform, identify and source strategic partnerships and acquisition targets
  • Support the expansion of existing and new growth pillars, including delivering robust analytical assessments of existing media business lines and optimal market entry options for new business segments, including consumer segments
  • Lead valuation and deal structuring and project manage the due diligence, closing and post-close integration processes. Craft the models and information materials required to achieve the support and alignment of all our internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage company deal databases and pipelines
  • Benchmark company performance and valuation against comparable peer set and businesses
  • Collaborate with Global Research, Corporate Strategy, Innovations and Conde's cross-functional teams to drive and execute on strategic projects throughout the company
  • Partner with our internal F&O team to lead the financial modelling and structuring of acquisitions and supporting our overall long range strategic planning processes
  • Support our Corporate Partnership and Business Development leads, especially with highly-targeted partner and platform companies that will accelerate our corporate strategic growth priorities
  • Support Conde Nast's benchmarking and competitive intelligence analysis, providing thought leadership on the future of the industry and the potential impact to Conde Nast's overall strategy
  • Based in New York City with hybrid work flexibility; travel may be required based on deal pipeline

Qualifications, Skills, & Experience:

  • 5-7 years of work experience ideally in corporate development, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or management consulting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office's Excel and Google Suite products
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills, financial acumen, strong critical thinking and problem-solving mindset
  • Possess the ability to distill complex analyses for simple, effective communications with various stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and working across all levels of management
  • Proven success working in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing stakeholders and priorities
  • Proven and demonstrated leadership skills including relationship building, change leadership, and collaboration skills with clear ability to influence, gain buy-in and negotiate with partners / peers

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field (MBA or other relevant Master's degree is ideal).
  • Experience in media, publishing, and/or consumer internet industries.

The expected base salary range for this position is from $200 ,000 - $230,000 Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.
