APP Urology
POSITION SUMMARY:
In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, contributes professional and clinical expertise to assigned patient populations to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. Scope of practice will encompass: * Expert clinical practice * Expert guidance and coaching of patients and families and other healthcare providers. * Research * Leadership (clinical, professional, and systems). Serve on call and/or weekend rotation as required. This position will take call on a rotation with the other general surgery First Assists
EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program or Nurse Practitioner Program
EXPERIENCE: First assist experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
Current Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or for Advanced Practice Nurses a current Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and Registered Nurse First Assist (RFNA)certification. Hold a valid, current New Jersey license. Obtain a New Jersey CDS and federal DEA certificate upon employment if not already covered. Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving. Demonstrates behavior that models the Valley Health System values and standards as well as the Valley Medical Group Mission and Vision Statements. Honors commitments to the job and coworkers Participation in pertinent professional and/or specialty organizations preferred. BLS certification
