Role Description
This is a key role in the Zoetis Strategic Sourcing function with a global remit and high level of visibility in the organization.
The principle purpose of the role is to continue to strengthen the organization's Indirect Sourcing expertise and lead a unified approach to sourcing needed products and services that deliver best value to the business.
The Indirect Procurement leader is responsible for developing the indirect strategic sourcing strategy and leading a team of dedicated Category Managers that cover a significant global spend (~$1bn) across a broad range of spend categories e.g. IT, Marketing, Professional Services, Fleet & Travel. Utilities, Facilities & indirect spend within our Manufacturing Sites.
Scope of the role includes: supplier market research, vendor selection, category strategy management, value analysis (price, quality, quantity, time...), negotiation, buying, risk mitigation, supplier relationship management & contract administration.
Purpose of the role is to achieve demonstrable and measurable improvements in Indirect sourcing, by reducing costs, improving efficiency and improving supplier performance.
