The Job

As the Vice President, Solution Engineering, you will lead a solution engineer organization responsible for delivering innovative technical solutions to our global clientele. Your strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership will be critical in driving successful pre-sales engagements, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall growth of our company on a global scale.

Your Data-to-Day Role

  • Leadership:
    • Provide strategic leadership to the Global Solution Engineering team, setting clear goals and objectives.
    • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the solution engineering team.
    • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of leaders and solution engineers.
  • Pre-Sales Strategy:
    • Collaborate with the sales and product teams to develop and execute pre-sales strategies that align with the company's global objectives.
    • Oversee the creation of compelling technical proposals and presentations to showcase our solutions to prospective clients.
  • Team Development:
    • Recruit, train, and develop a world-class solution engineering team capable of supporting global sales initiatives.
    • Provide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.
    • Cultivate a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Global Collaboration:
    • Work closely with regional sales teams to understand customer requirements and tailor solutions to meet their needs.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as product development and customer success, to ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales to implementation.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Act as a key technical liaison between the company and clients, ensuring a deep understanding of customer needs and challenges.
    • Lead and participate in high-impact customer meetings, presentations, and workshops to showcase our solutions.
  • Resource Management:
    • Manage and optimize resources within the Solution Engineering team to meet global demand.
    • Develop and maintain a scalable and efficient process for handling pre-sales engagements.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor solutions, and emerging technologies to provide valuable insights to the team and the company.
    • Serve as a technical authority, ensuring the team is equipped with the latest knowledge and tools.

Your Work Experience

  • Proven track record of at least 15 years in solution engineering or a related technical field, with a minimum of 10+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience managing a global solution engineering team.
  • Strong understanding of B2B technology SaaS solutions and the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments and work effectively in a matrixed organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus
Important Details

This is a full-time position. The ideal candidate will work out of ourEnglewood Cliffs, NJ office a minimum of 3 days per week to maximise collaboration and interaction with the business. Travel may be required.
