BNY Mellon Corporate Trust is a top-tier provider of trustee and agency services, focused on conventional and structured debt solutions, project finance and specialized services such as business escrows and document custody, among other offerings. We're seeking a Vice President, Strategic Planning II to join the Business Management team. This role is on a hybrid model (3 days a week in office), and can be based in the New York, NY - or - Boston, MA office.

In this role you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Conduct market scanning to identify competitive opportunities and threats
  • Translate competitive analysis, market sizing and customer perspectives into actionable and successful growth strategies
  • Work across teams to identify, document and oftentimes implement potential solutions for a complex business initiative/ challenge to help CT improve business performance and realize our most important goals
  • Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations
  • Support messaging on market and competitive movements and positioning

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, while an advanced graduate degree is preferable
  • 5+ years of experience, with a minimum of 2 years in issuer services, fixed income, and/or debt instruments (conventional bonds, CLOs, ABS/MBS, private debt, syndicated bank loans, etc)
  • Capability to drive an independent workstream within a broader project across a matrixed ecosystem
  • Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations
  • Ability to break-down and solve problems through quantitative thinking

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $97,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
