Clinical Coordinator
Methodist Hospitals Northlake and Southlake

Gary, Indiana

As a full time, exempt, Clinical Coordinator with CPS Solutions, LLC at both Methodist Hospitals in Gary and Merrillville, Indiana, you'll be responsible for leading clinical pharmacy programs and services at the site level as well as staffing duties. You will also:

  • Serve as a clinical resource for the provision of pharmaceutical care and clinical pharmacy services at both Methodist Hospital sites.
  • Build effective relationships with other healthcare professionals and departments within the hospital and company.
  • Promote clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care through the development of new (or expansion of existing) pharmacy practice programs, drug therapy policies, and other programs.
  • Provides training, education and orientation to various health care providers regarding medication use and safety.
  • Precepts pharmacy students on clinical rotations.
  • Participate and assist the Pharmacy Management in all activities as assigned including assisting with IV pump management, formulary management and medication guidelines.

Schedule: This is an exempt 40 hours a week position that will worka combination of duties including clinical pharmacist staffing, primarily day shift with every other weekend coverage.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited PharmDprogram
  • Indiana Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Completion of aPGY1 OR 2years recent clinical work experience working ina hospital setting required
  • Minimum of one-year experience as a supervisory pharmacist involved with program development
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof ofnegativeTB skin test within thelast 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer provingimmunity
  • Varicella -(2)documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • HepB3 Series(or declination)
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
  • COVID Vaccine
