Position Travel Percentage: Up to 25%

Classification
For Our Future recognizes a staff bargaining unit, affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) 2304, a labor union. This position is NOT included in the For Our Future bargaining unit.

Job Summary:
Are you passionate about digital organizing, advancing progressive policy, electing progressive candidates, and harnessing digital tools to make real change? Do you keep up with online trends from progressive spaces? If so, consider joining our team as a Digital Manager!We're seeking a quick learner, clear communicator, a passionate organizer who knows how to use the latest digital trends to organize and rally progressives. The ideal candidate will be looking to grow as a leader but can be a team player who will meet new challenges with ambition and creativity to add to our team. As a Digital Manager, you'll collaborate across departments to reach voters in new, innovative ways.

This position runs through at least November 5, 2024

Essential Functions
    • Create & execute long- and short-term digital communications strategies including for social media, SMS/texting, and email;
    • Identify new digital communications avenues and creating compelling digital content (including graphics and video) that can be localized;
    • Assess social media landscape and identifying key messengers across all social platforms;
    • Oversee the email program and helping boost response rates and increasing list size;
    • Develop and implement a digital organizing program in your state which includes digital volunteer programming options
    • Collaborate with the National Digital Director on digital ads for your state;
    • Collaborate with other departments to support integration on projects such as digital layering that connects field and digital organizing
    • Support on-the-ground organizing & media work, including live streaming events, and capturing people's stories;Train additional digital team staffers on your team Participate in key in-state coalition meetings.
    • Collaborate on the execution of earned media events as well as other progressive partners.
Skills & Qualifications
    • 2 - 4 years experience with in digital content development, and social media account management
    • Experience with digital organizing and planning in support of field, electoral, and/or issue campaigns;
    • Fluent with social media and deep understanding of internet culture and love thinking outside the box and learning new technologies and ever-evolving digital tactics;
    • Excellent written communication skills and a keen attention to detail
    • Ability to work both independently and as a team member in a busy office with personal enthusiasm, optimism, and a sense of humorDemonstrated experience working on projects in a fast-paced environment, juggling several priorities that may change quickly, and meeting tight deadlines
    • Experience in politics, coalitions, firms, or organizing environments required; experience with independent expenditure organizations and campaigns, preferred
    • Creativity and a good eye for design and proficiency with Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects, etc.), preferred
    • Comfortable using digital mediums and platforms to collect people's personal stories such as video recording and photography; video/photo editing and production skills, preferred
Physical Requirements
    • Prolonged periods of remaining in a stationary position at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to transport up to 25 pounds at a time
    • Prolonged periods of moving around and travel for local in-person events
    • This is an in-person position and will require a physical presence in the Philadelphia/HQ office
The compensation for this position may be based on experience and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.

Expected Hours of Work
    • Employees are expected to work Tuesday - Saturday, 9:00am- 6:30pm. Employees may be required to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
    • Employees are required to abide by certain blackout dates during a campaign cycle or other key deadlines, and generally not allowed to take off during blackout periods. Emergencies are not affected by this policy.

Work Environment
Employees will be required to work and interact, in an office environment or otherwise, with coworkers, volunteers, voters, or community partners on a regular basis. If state and government stay-at-home orders, phased reopening orders, or other factors related to the COVID-19 virus (or any other reason) limit For Our Future's ability to engage safely in in-person work, employees may be assigned other duties to be conducted from their homes.
